He’s very accommodating and doesn’t rush through your time with him. He patiently examines your items or collections, offers an honest assessment as well as insight: is/are your item/items desirable for the collectors market or more commonplace; why are they collectible, if they are? Depending on what you have, he carries current valuation sheets for things such as coins, and will give you a current market value. If you’re interested in selling and he’s interested in buying, he makes a very reasonable and fair offer. When making an appointment, best to let him know up front exactly what you have, if you’re merely seeking information or an appraisal, or if you’re genuinely interested in selling. It really helps make the meeting the most productive, possible. If you are selling, keep in mind Dean runs a business. He has to maintain some level of profit margin. However, he is in no way high pressure if you aren’t interested in parting with your stuff. However the meeting wraps up, time spent with him is informative and educational. He is a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with!
