We have been coming to Lazy River for several years and have stayed in different cabins this last weekend. We came in experienced a cabin that was not clean. The mattress cover was disgusting and the cabin smelled. They have an identical cabin so we asked to be moved to it, but unfortunately, it was booked. The lady at the front was very kind and called her manager to see if they could move us to another cabin, where the manager lied and said there were no cabins for us to be moved to. She said the only thing they could do would be give us a refund. We had drove over an hour there and we’re meeting other families there so we just asked them to please come and get the boxspring out of our cabin and give us some spray of course after being there all weekend we saw about five open cabins that they could have moved us too and just chose not to very poor customer service from the manager. The pictures don’t even do it justice the smell of this box spring was awful

We recently stayed at Lazy River Campground in Granville, and overall we had a great experience. The campground is very well maintained. The bathrooms and shower facilities were spotless, and the pool area was one of the highlights. There is a 4-foot pool with slides for younger kids, a 6-foot pool, and a splash pad, making it a great place for families. The campground is also pet-friendly, the reservation process was quick and easy, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of our campsite. When I made the reservation, I was told we would have a gravel site with a concrete pad across from the pool. When we arrived, our site was grass only with no concrete pad. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it wasn’t what we had reserved. My advice to future campers is to verify your campsite amenities at check-in before heading to your site to make sure everything matches what you booked. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning. With a little more attention to matching campsite assignments with reservations, this would easily be a 5-star campground.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RENTING AT LAZY RIVER CAMPGROUND. They misrepresented the camp site size and ease of connection to sewer. I was actually surprised at how rude the on site manager behaved after we requested a larger long term site as we were promised when we rented without seeing the property. There were long term spots available but they put us with the weekend party crowd. We requested a refund and were willing to offer $200 to compensate them for the one night we stayed there but were met with distain and unprofessional mannerism. We disputed the charges with American Express and the Lazy River Campground had created a story to service their uncaring position. We received NO concession and paid $1,495 for one night. I will continue to spread the word in the large community of travelers I work with and hope that people consider another RV Park.

Frequently Asked Questions About Lazy River Campground At Granville

Do you actually have a Lazy River?

Plot twist: We're called Lazy River At Granville, but our "lazy river" is actually a creek that's about as lazy as a caffeinated squirrel during acorn season. It's perfect for wading, setting up lawn chairs, or catching critters (the critters may have opinions about this). When Mother Nature decides to dump a week's worth of rain in one afternoon, it transforms into something that could generously be called "river-ish." Pro tip: Don't name your campground after trendy water features that don't exist yet. We learned this the hard way.

Do you have a pool? When is it open?

We have TWO pools because apparently we're overachievers, plus a sprayground for those who like their water experience with a side of chaos. Both pools are heated (because we're not monsters), but the sprayground embraces the "refreshing" natural temperature. We open around Memorial Day weekend—sometimes earlier if we're feeling ambitious—and close 1-2 weeks after Labor Day, depending on how long we can pretend summer isn't over. Call us for exact dates because even we're not entirely sure sometimes. You can also fill out an application for our seasonal sites here: https://forms.gle/q1FcjyYDrEpf5gDF7
