Super helpful and knowledgeable employees, quality gear. Prices are high but you get what you pay for. Return policy is generous for members and the yearly dividends check is worth the price of membership

Bought a used TREK road bike recently that needed a tune up, a part on the derailer replaced and new handlebar grips. I took it to REI and they got all the work done in a day and as I returned to pick it up they took time out of their day to teach me about the way the gears work, how to maintain the bike, what tools/tubes I should carry when I ride and even gave me a few beginner friendly places in the area to go ride at. The accessories that I purchased there got put on the bike while we were talking free of charge and was an all around professional and personable experience.

Incompetence at best. Manager Jacob and associate told me to drive to the Cincinnati store to purchase bug protective pants and said they had multiple pair in my size. I made the hour trip in my diesel which runs me $7 a gallon. I get there 50min later only for them to search every dept in the store before they told me that they sold every pair in the last hour, really? Both were condescending and arrogant. Either way, REI will never get another dime from my family of adventurer's. I feel like an idiot. Thanks REI
