  Really nice and larger high end outdoors store. Purchased a bike rack here. Salesperson was friendly and knowledgeable. Carries alot of variety items but more specific brands. If it's your brand your in luck. Overall nice shopping experience worth the trip and will return.

  “You have up to 1 year from the purchase date to return most items, even if they’ve been worn or gently used.” “Items with ordinary wear and tear or damage from misuse or accidents aren’t covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee.” “If your gear has a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, you can return it.” After purchasing a pair of Altra boots, I submitted a return after just under 8 months. In that time, 7 of the eyelets had blown out and the slip resistance has been so poor that I have slipped and fallen down stairs 3 times, 2 in the first 2 months. It is no secret that Altra has seen a decline in quality over the years; I suppose I am the fool for believing that $190 boots would be constructed with lace loops that would be somewhat durable. They explained this is normal wear and tear for boots—that are under eight months old—no exceptions. I do not see how that is acceptable, and I fully recognize they are trying to avoid customers taking advantage of their generous return policy. I’m disappointed to see this is how they stand by their program. I understand that the specific reason for the refusal of return was the amount of wear on the sole, which is not a measurable guideline I could find in any rhetoric online. I would better understand if the amount returned may be prorated for such wear. I did also read, after my visit, that items must be cleaned before being returned, which I did previously miss and did not know, but I would’ve happily done so if that was the concern. At this point I will not be returning to an REI store if they decide that the poor workmanship of their offerings is inarguably defined as user error. In all fairness, staff is usually more than helpful in past experiences, so I’ll throw in an extra star.

  Beautiful store but it was difficult to find staff members and everything's a little overpriced.

  This is a cool place if you like the outdoors. I needed a rolling duffle for trip to Brazil. Great selection and I even found one on sale. When I got home, I decided I needed the next largest size. I called, they had it in stock, I drove back and made the exchange very efficiently. The is a very knowledgeable staff who all seem to be enjoying woking there. As a bonus, my wife found an outdoor chair that would good for knitting so we added it to the checkout. They have a very good website that lets you preorder to make sure something is in stock.
