  Such a great experience. My husband got the hang gliding lesson as a gift for me and my 6 year old daughter - it was so fun! Our instructors were so great! Johnny did our ground lessons and then for the actual flight my daughter had Gracie and Megan (who took the youngest kids) and I went with Liam and Luke. They were all extremely friendly and relaxed and put us at ease. Megan and Gracie were so good with my daughter who was nervous at first, but they were wonderful with all the kids. It was HOT and it’s tiring walking up the dunes after each flight (each person gets 5 in total) but they set up shade for us and kept checking in to make sure everyone was drinking water and feeling well. Would highly recommend this experience for adults and kids alike.

  A highlight of our Outer Banks trip! The whole family did the 2000’ tandem hang gliding experience and loved it. Charlie (the instructor) has such a great attitude and makes you feel super safe, Drake helped us out on the ground and was super knowledgeable and friendly, and Johnny (the pilot of the plane that towed the hang glider) was super welcoming and cool. This was a super memorable experience that I would recommend even to people that are afraid of heights, you’ll love it!

  My husband and I had an amazing experience during the Dune Hang Gliding lesson. Johnny did an excellent job teaching the group the important basics on operating the glider and Zach and Kai were fantastic during our flights. All of the instructors were patient, encouraging, and brought a positive energy that put the group at ease. I highly recommend this adventure!

  I took my wife and 8 year old daughter to learn how to fly hang gliders together. The team was absolutely amazing! When we showed up the winds were pretty high and they weren't sure we would be able to fly. But we did ground school and walked out there anyway. By the time we got up to the dune the winds had died down JUST enough to fly. I'll admit even I was pretty nervous feeling the power of that wind. But they got me rigged up and as soon as my feet left the ground it felt like the smoothest most natural thing I've ever done. Long story short, I had a great time and felt like I had learned to control the glider. My daughter was VERY nervous to go but properly motivated (weekend at her cousins house). As intimidated as she was Olivia and Sam almost instantly got that melt away as they said all the right things to ease her fears. She took flight and came RUNNING back up the hill with the biggest smile I've ever seen. There were a ton of other great parts of the trip, but the overall sentiment from my family was that they were very calming and knowledgable. Huge thanks to Johnny, Gracie, Olivia, Sam, and Zach! P.S. I'm looking into more training, my own rig, and a tow line so I can fly in my flatlands back home.

  If youre having second thoughts..... Dont. Just do it. What a great experience! We went out with Johnny, Olivia, Gracie, Zack, and Sam. They were fantastic and we had a lot of fun. Will do again when we are in the area. They made my 8 year old feel super brave and courageous.
