  James and Marcus were both extremely helpful and polite. James walked around the store with me to show me cards my roommate might be interested in and price matched a booster box for me. Told him to pick a box with Robin for me, I should have specified which one 😂 Happy with what I pulled and happy with the service

  I’m typically not a person that cares to write reviews, but I’m sadly a person that doesn’t know how to say no to trading/selling my cards and I want to make sure nobody else deals with the experience that I dealt with. Whenever Journey Together came out, I went a bought an Articuno from a card shop. I then went to ANOTHER card shop and pulled it immediately after. I didn’t want both so I went to TA Games to see if they’d trade with me. Nothing was wrong with this Articuno, maybe a little whitening, but nothing major. The female working had to go to the back to get someone to look at it and came back and told me that it was MP or LP and they’d offer me $5 in trade value. Me, being stupid and too awkward to disagree, said okay. I felt bad for it after, but I figured I wasn’t going to really get a deal on it anywhere else if it was MP/LP. The following week, my boyfriend and I returned to find that they were selling the Articuno for $20-$25 which was the price for a NM. This gave us a bad taste in our mouth and we only return to the card shop if we are absolutely desperate for cards. Recently, we went to the show at the Triangle Town Center. I went up to a table and asked for the price on the Lilligant from Black Bolt. My boyfriend was trying to look up the NM price for me, but couldn’t find anything. The man at the table told me it was $75 which I wasn’t comfortable paying for a card at the moment. We continued on and came across the same card priced at $45 at a different vendor. My boyfriend bought me the card since the previous vendor obviously tried to get one over or taken advantage of the fact that I didn’t know the price. Low and behold it was TA Games. We used to love going in there when we first found them, but these experiences have lead us to absolutely refuse to step foot in their business. If you go here, please make sure you do your own research before agreeing to prices.

  We've been here before in the past but just met up with them again at TCG-con in Raleigh. Huge selection with great and reasonable prices. Definitely gonna go visit the main store again. -guy who went through all the FF cards to wife's dismay. Lol
