1-Star Review — AMF Bowlero University Unfortunately, my experience at AMF Bowlero University has been extremely disappointing. The tables in the bowling area are positioned far too close to the lanes for two teams to comfortably use the area at the same time. This creates a legitimate safety concern because bowlers have difficulty getting to and from the approach without navigating around tables and other bowlers. What made the situation more frustrating was the league meeting. Manager Alphonso Jefferson stated that the placement of the tables was “non-negotiable” and was dismissive when bowlers attempted to ask questions or express concerns. When safety and accessibility are being raised by league bowlers, concerns should be heard and discussed respectfully. The bathrooms are also frequently filthy and need much more attention. The one star is really for the other staff members who are pleasant, helpful, and clearly trying their best while being stretched thin and short-staffed. They deserve recognition for continuing to provide good service despite the circumstances. Overall, the facility needs to take a serious look at the layout, cleanliness, staffing, and especially how league bowlers’ legitimate concerns are addressed.

You have to give a star to leave a verbal review, THAT'S TOO MANY STARS. This has been the worse expository with a business' manager that i have ever had. TWICE i have encountered RUDE, INTOLERABLE, LOUD AND OVER TALKING CUSTOMERS AND LEAGUERS, CONDESCENDING, AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR FROM THE CENTER NEW MANAGER ALPHONSO! I have bowled for 37 years and thus year has made me contemplate quitting. This man has brought such a distain to this center. Lying on league bowlers, micro aggression, AGGRESSION, and just very unprofessional. And lord knows I understand when you work in retail where you're selling a service or product, customers can be a but much at times, but people who spend thousands in your establishment should definitely not be MET with what we endured on Wednesday night. If we can't be heard or managed better by your team, money will be lost and others can and should seek legal action... I'VE SEEN BUSINESSES GET SUED FOR LESS!

League meeting last night did not go well with the Manager on Duty Alphonse. He was rude. He made a big deal when he was talking that people should wait until he is finished. However when bowlers had questions he interrupted them and came off like he didnt really care. I have bowled here for over 20 years and this is the worse experience dealing with a Manager. No customer service personality. He is not a person who should be dealing with customers face to face, very unprofessional!

Alfonso is a disrespectful manager that needs training in active listening. He was rude and disrespectful to me when I attempted to explain my concern. There was no attempt in trying to understand my concern, he over talked me I attempted to speak. I was in no way disrespectful in any manner as I have been in his position. I simply stopped talking and let him know that I would escalate the issue. He has no regard for his role, customers or trying to help resolve or compromise on the issue. This occurred 8/12 approx 7:30pmET

I want to address how rude and dismissive the GM was during the league meeting. It felt like his views were the only ones that mattered, and he showed very little interest in listening to what the league members had to say. Disagreements are going to happen, but there is a respectful way to communicate. His attitude and the way he handled the conversations were unnecessary and disrespectful to the people who took the time to be there and will participate this season. While other concerns were mentioned during the meeting, they were never properly addressed. He stood firm on not wanting to move the tables and his thoughts of safety, also he did not address concerns about the condition of the bathrooms. I had to ask for him to be dismissed, because he did not know how to speak appropriately or respectfully to the members. and even after that, he continued to dwell on the table arrangement issue instead of allowing the meeting to move forward. He lacks basic customer service skills, particularly in areas such as active listening, professionalism, empathy, conflict resolution, communication, and accountability. You have picked a poor choice in management. We also see that this place does not care about league bowlers, even though this league brings in approximately $70,000 plus on average each year. That is a significant amount of money, and the bowlers deserve to be treated with respect and have their concerns taken seriously. Upgrades are always promised but never fulfilled, which only adds to the frustration and disappointment felt by many members. We are not asking for anything unreasonable we simply want to be heard, respected, and valued as customers who contribute significantly to the success of the bowling center.
