  If I hadn’t paid for the bike before encountering the female bike shop employee, I’d have walked out. Even my 7yo was complaining about how rude she was. The other employees are great.

  I had an exceptional experience with Mark at this store. I came in needing a sleeping bag and asked the employee Mark for help. He was initially with someone else and said he’d come back and find me. I had no faith in that, but five minutes later, he returned and he stayed with me for over half an hour, helping me find the right one. He was patient, kind, and invested in my journey. We browsed several different ones, and when we found the one I wanted, he unpacked it for me, even let me lay down and get in it, and made sure it was the right size and temperature I needed. He told me how to take care of it, and even about the warranty should anything happen. Then he helped me find a pillow and completed my check out at the front. Thank you so much, Mark!

  I had to bring my new bike in to be fixed this morning. I'm a total novice but the bike technician (sorry I didn't get your name!) was kind and patient. He even walked with me to my car to show me how to put it into the trunk without causing damage. I was not asked if I had a co-op membership (which I do). I was really impressed by the service and friendliness. Just wanted to give a shout out to the bike technician and say thank you.

  I'm a REI member and went to return a quick drying towel that I used 2-3 times. I was returning the product since it's not quick drying. I washed the product and tried to take advantage of the 1-year satisfaction return policy. The woman working behind the register was incredibly rude and told me I couldn't return it because the item was clearly used. I said I was an REI member, and she said it didn't matter since they only accept "gently used" items. I used this towel 2 times and there is no staining or tears. I asked her why the item wasn't acceptable for return and she gave me another rude response. It's fine if the item was genuinely dirty and not acceptable for return, but she didn't have to be rude and use a tone. I will not be returning to this location.
