  I had the absolute best experience with an employee named Caroline! Caroline was so helpful, and went above and beyond in helping me find the perfect backpack. Caroline answered every question, helped me get the right color ordered, offered a wide range of knowledge on the products, as well as what would best fit my purposes. She also directed to me to the used items that were marked down, which I had no prior knowledge about (yay REI!!) and I got a coat and leggings for unbelievably good, unmatchable prices, and I am completely in love with both items. The whole experience was seamless, saved me tons of money, and was filled with the best, most positive, truly knowledgeable employees.

  It’s been a long while since I’ve been in a REI and it’s gotten so boujee and expensive. Went in looking for some games, camp chairs, and kids bike seats. All of it was insanely expensive for not seemingly great quality stuff. $45 kites? $40-$60 kids camp chairs? Store had weird organization and hard to find things, employees were of no help. Kept having to look up stuff on their phones or just totally checked out. No greeting just “you need help?” Maybe I’ll try again in 10 years but probably not.
