The staff are always very helpful and incredibly friendly. This time round - special shoutout to Arden for her advice and recommendations in my hunt for a thin but warm and packable fleece with a full zip which is not the Patagonia R1 (because I can't deal with the zigzag pattern and also because Patagonia stuff is too long for someone my size). I eventually tried on the North Face Tek Approach jacket and decided to buy that based on her recommendations.

We spent about two hours at the Missoula REI this weekend, getting fitted for a backpack, asking questions and learning about different models, their features, and how they could or wouldn't work for her. I wish I remembered our sale persons name, he was FAB! It was a great experience! Would highly recommend anyone starting new in an outdoor activity to pop in for top of the line service. Thank you!!
