  Missouri Athletic Club is actually one of the most mind-blowing venues that I've ever photographed a wedding at! Maybe it's the grand, sweeping ceilings in the ballroom? Maybe it's the warm, vibey wood tones around the hotel? Maybe it's the striking views of the city from the rooftop? Just kidding - it's all 3 of them! The venue is just gorgeous and has everything you'll need to enjoy a smooth, seamless, and stupidly fun wedding day. To top it off, Courtney, my point of contact for weddings, and her team are beyond enjoyable to work with! Even back when I photographed my first wedding there, it felt like we were all old friends and working to serve the couple as best as we possibly could.   We stayed at the Missouri Athletic Club May 30-31, 2026. Bullet Points: •Check in was later than posted. Not by much, but when you're paying the amount they charge, you should get every minute you paid for. •Huge wedding going on which might have had something to do with check in time frame. The constant flow of the wedding party coming and going along with the all the picture taking added for good people watching while we waited for our room to be ready. •Their employees are honest in that I left my laptop and they called me to let me know. Fortunately we were still in the area. •No bell hop service as posted •Not permitted to bring in outside food or beverages. They have a vending machines and 2 restaurants. •Chicken tenders and fries from Jack Buck Grill were not worth the $16. •Between the Metro Link and wedding, we got very little sleep. The wedding celebration was on the 2nd floor and we were on the 10th. 8 floors up and it was still ridiculous. •Beds very uncomfortable and the bedding was horrible. Don't try and shower if you're short. The shower stall is very small and the shower head high and no way to be adjusted. I'm 5'4" and got pelted with water in my face the entire time. Turn around still getting it from the back. 🤦‍♀️ •Doors to the rooms have a vent at the bottom so that every single thing you say or do can be heard down the hall. We heard a couple bickering about who was responsible for clogging the toilet. 😳😂 •The shuttle to the Cardinal's game was very convenient, but not unlike other hotels. Many in the downtown area have thay to offer. • Their parking garage is $30 not $25. •Everyone was very nice!!! •There is a dress code... we didn't know that, but we were informed.🙄 •The building itself is very period style and well kept. They went in the building I believe in 1916. They didn't build the building from what I understood. • Because we're were only there for a night we didn't use the pool or gym areas, so I can't report on those. This may sound like I'm attempting to discourage patrons, but that's not my intention. Know before you go is what my intention is. Will we stay there again? Probably not. We're too unclassy for such a venue. 😁 Sorry I didn't take pictures.

  Tocar timbres para entrar a un hotel denota que el lugar hay problemas de inseguridad, pero ese es otro tema. El check in fue un poco lento y con muchas reglas como no usar gorra, tampoco el teléfono celular e incluso el vestir en shorts lo catalogan de una forma incorrecta. El hotel tiene instalaciones bonitas, pero creo que si le quieren dar ese “toque” de glamour creo que les hace falta más por hacer tanto en las habitaciones como también en el estacionamiento. Dudo si regresaría a este hotel ya que hay más opciones a tan solo unos pasos.

  Beautiful old hotel. Not frilly, not a ton of extras, but very clean, comfortable and well priced! The front desk clerk was the only down side to this visit. We seemed to be an interruption to her job. Others were accommodating and helpful. It’s pretty fancy feeling walking through the lobby. I recommend dressing well. 🙂

  We recently attended a weekend wedding at the MAC in St. Louis and booked our room there out of sheer convenience. Then I read the reviews and saw all of the negative comments and I was concerned going in. However, after staying there and experiencing the MAC for myself, I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay at this facility. Is there a dress code? Sure, but this is an upscale facility, and the dress code seemed to be driven by common sense. The details are posted on their web site so just plan ahead, put a little effort into how you dress and you'll be just fine. During the week, be sure to check out the Sportsman’s Club Grill (4th floor) where the food is amazing and affordable too. They even had a buffet that was delicious. As for the room, we ended up getting a corner room and it had plenty of space. The room temp was comfortable (and I like it on the cooler side). There was a lot of street noise at night but it would be the same at any hotel in that area. The step up into the bathroom was a bit unusual and it will trip you up if you aren’t careful so pay attention to that. Also, the shower curtain in our bathroom was mounted too high, allowing a LOT of water to pool on the bathroom floor. But you’ll get plenty of clean towels each day so it really wasn’t an issue for us. And finally, the staff we encountered were all great. We ended up accidentally leaving a large Yeti tumbler in our room when we checked out and didn’t realize it until we got back home. My wife called the hotel and they not only had found it in our room, they mailed it back to us :-) Overall, we had a positive and memorable experience at the MAC and I would stay there again if needed.
