I recently stayed at the Hollywood Casino Hotel and appreciated its convenient location near the amphitheater, along with the friendly staff and comfortable beds. However, my experience was disappointing overall due to maintenance and comfort issues in the room, including visible mold, inadequate climate control, and poor sound insulation that made it difficult to sleep. While the casino and amenities are a plus, the hotel would benefit from better room upkeep and attention to guest comfort. The mold was on the ceiling in the room, the vents were covered in dust. The coffee house downstairs and the main area was nice. I didn’t have soap in the shower, and tried to contact the hotel about this and still haven’t received a response. Based on this stay, I expected a higher standard for the price paid. Not sure if I will go back.

We haven't even checked out yet but I feel I need to warn future guests. Service was decent upon check in, the staff were friendly enough. Our room was in the Rodeo tower and looked to be clean. Nice sized bath tub in the bathroom with a separate toilet room (never a bad thing). Everything was fine until we went to go to bed last evening, as the beds are stiff as a board. I don't think you even sink half an inch into the mattress. We did not sleep well and woke up sore. We were in a king bed room so I cannot speak for the queen rooms, but future guests beware.

Best part of this hotel is the proximity to the amphitheater and it's shuttle. They had the shuttle process streamlined, and that was really nice to have a separate line after the show to avoid Uber waits. Job well done there. Don't desk staff wasn't necessarily rude, but certainly not friendly either. I'm pretty sure none of the ladies at the front smiled at us ever. Housekeeping was very friendly every time we encountered them. Our bathtub drained terribly slowly so we were ankle deep showering (gross.) Beds were comfy but the room just felt dirty. Stained carpet, the damp smell of smoke, and the bedding smells of chemicals (think glue,) and that weirded us out. (To the hotels defense, we didn't bother telling them about the drain until we checked out as we didn't want anyone in our room.) Would try another hotel next time.

I arrived 15 minutes before check in so wasnt shocked when my room wasnt ready no biggie at first. Was told it will be just a few minutes and they will call when ready. My daughter and I sat in the lobby to wait. 15 min goes by then another 30 minutes so again I ask if its ready was told the house keepers hasn't started it yet and maybe 15 min okay so we wait another 30 minutes so I ask again then told it will be 45 min. Mind you dozens of people was coming in checking in going to there rooms. I booked the best suite they had so to wait hours after check in. Sitting inside the lobby the whole time never apologized nothing I told the lady we was there for my daughter to attend a concert that was and hour and half before it started and need our room or comparable because it was ridiculous to spend that much and treated like it was okay to do. Asked if I could get her a shuttle pass comped for the wait nope. After relaying my frustration that it was ridiculous gave a 25 food voucher that mind you couldn't get to link right so never used. I asked a worker after the concert if I could get a late check out since I paid for a room that I didn't get to use for hours because of the hotels fault was told no and that if I was late even 10 minutes checking out would be charged 50 dollars. Other than the complete lack of any customer service skills or treating people that pay good money for a service as if the customer is a Inconvenience. But the room was nice very spacious loved the layout etc. Casino was okay some parts had a funky smell but its a casino.

am incredibly disappointed with the lack of flexibility and poor customer service at this property. I had a confirmed reservation july 1, but due to travel scheduling, I arrived separately from the person who had it reserved. Despite having open rooms available, the front desk completely refused to check me in or even process ahead of time. I came from a very long flight and i was very dizzy and tired, nonetheless there should be exceptions, even if the person who did the reservation made the call they still didnt have the flexibility to check it in..it was already past midnight and i was so tired and dizzy..I simply wanted to get the check-in process started, confirm my reservation, and securely drop off my bags so I could go grab food. Instead, I was met with complete rigidity and a "not our problem" attitude. Forcing a paying guest with a valid reservation to sit in a lobby for hours just to satisfy a strict bureaucratic clock is an archaic way to run a hospitality business. If you value flexibility, standard customer service, or being treated like a welcome guest, look elsewhere. I will not be returning
