This review is for the training or lack thereof for shipping a bike and how not to get damage done. The bike was packaged with the wheel incorrectly located and caused a structural bend on the tubes basically destroying this bike. I would say accidents happen, but this is my 2nd try at purchasing a bike with Trek. My local store is good, but the company level seems to be going downhill. I don't know if I am just unlucky with this company or what but being in Quality and Aerospace manufacturing I feel like there is something systemic going on. Is it the retention of employees, the training of the employees, corporate level investment to get people the skills or knowledge they need? I usually go through Trek for my bicycling needs, and I have spent over 15k and I feel a little let down and feeling of being betrayed. I know it is emotions mixed with money and that is never good.
