- BKBenjamin KaasaJun 27, 20265.0I golfed this course with a long time friend, and our tee time was at 7:06 on a Friday morning in late June. We were paired with a couple from out of state, one of who was celebrating a birthday by playing the course. Staff was wide awake and eager to greet players in the pro shop as well as at the starter's shack. The beverage cart began making its rounds after 9 o'clock, and we crossed paths with it at least three time during the later part of the first nine plus the second nine. Our round of 18 holes was completed in less than four hours. Carts were newer and heavily padded on the seating. On cart GPS was great. There are a few water bottle stations throughout the course. We had humid, overcast conditions to begin. By the time we moved to the eleventh hole we had glorious sunshine and low sixties for temperatures. This was pristine Minnesota weather conditions for golf. The marketing about 13 holes having water in play is accurate, with good use of water falls, and at least two holes having island style greens. The sand traps had sugary type sand you would find at Clearwater Beach along the Gulf in Florida. None of the traps were too deep, and most were level and well groomed. Fairways were generous, and most greens were large. There were foam bits scattered long the fairways from being mown that morning. Most of the foam disappeared before the end of our round. I lost three balls during the round: one to a water hazard and two to thick native grasses. In reading the online course description I had some equipped with a fresh 12 pack of balls. Three sleeves remained holstered in the manufacturer's packing box. I would play this course again if I have the opportunity. I'm pretty sure you will be a repeat customer too . . . just like the birthday person we were paired with.
