Great Lakes Coins and Collectibles has restored my belief that there must be a gold buyer out there somewhere who actually treats the customer with respect and a welcoming environment, while offering extremely fair pricing for the gold jewelry brought in to their shop. I have seen my share of estate and gold buyers who shamelessly throw out ridiculous low-ball offers with the warning that you will never see a better offer. So walking in to Great Lakes today was a breath of fresh air and a very pleasant surprise. These people are the real deal. They paid me a very fair price on the spot, no haggling, and I was happy to accept their offer. I will be back to do more business with them again soon. Go see them. You will be so glad that you did!

I will never be back to this shop again unfortunately, but I can say they're not the worst coin shop in Minnesota but they certainly dont know how to treat there customers with any respect.

We were visiting from Canada last week due to my 11 year old daughter’s health. I had planned on selling 2 oz of gold to help pay for the trip. I took my coins to Great Lakes and negotiated a fair price. When checking my ID I was asked why I was visiting. I purposely hadn’t said anything because I didn’t want sympathy, but I told him I was there for my daughter’s health. Unbeknownst to me, after hearing of my daughter he wrote a higher amount on the check than we agreed upon. It’s been 1 week and we found out the worst today, our daughter has cancer. It makes me feel good knowing there are good people in the world like those at Great Lakes. I would highly recommend them.

This place was great! First time I had ever been here. Fair prices and a great selection. Staff was very kind to my daughter and gave her some novelty coins and a necklace while I shopped. I bought a few items. I would highly recommend and will stop again next time I am in town!!!

I’ve been doing business with Lee at this coin and gold shop for the past 2 years, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. Lee is always fair, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things so you feel confident in every transaction. What really stands out is how friendly and welcoming both he and his staff are. Every visit feels easy and comfortable, whether you’re buying, selling, or just asking questions. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you’re looking for a trustworthy place with great people, this is definitely it.
