- ASAbby SmasonAug 15, 20262.0Usually I’m apathetic towards REI and just go there to get the things I need, because of the way they treat their employees and their issues with employees needing to unionize to get treated fairly. However today cemented I will not be visiting REI again to get my gear. When I was at the checkout today (about 11:30am), the manager with long blond hair was checking me out. I was in the middle of paying and had a question and she was on her headset telling the employees they needed to make more sales. That is so weird to me as I would think if they cared about their customers and making sales they would pay attention to them instead of ignoring me to command the employees to do better. She was very short and quite rude and I just thought it was ridiculous that she cares more about her employees making some sort of sales quota than the actual customer sitting right in front of her. Very disappointing.
