As someone who was new to the game last summer, I really appreciate how patient and encouraging Stan is. He does a great job explaining not only the fundamentals of the swing, but also describes course strategy which has helped me understand how to think my way around the course, choosing smarter shots, and building my confidence while I’m learning. His coaching style makes the game feel less overwhelming and much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and supportive golf coach, Stan at Golftec Novi is an excellent choice.

Now I’m getting 125 mph ball speed and carrying it 185 yards—something I never would have thought was possible when we started. Tyler doesn’t just tell me to put the club in certain positions. He explains the reasoning behind every change and helps me understand the difference between what I feel like I’m doing and what is actually happening. He listens when I describe what I think I’m doing, then helps me connect that feeling to what really needs to change. On the course he notices things that might never show up during a normal range lesson. Afterward, he gives me drills that have a clear purpose, and we continue talking about how they’re working. I’ve put a lot of work into my game, but there is no way I would have made this much progress this quickly without Tyler. He has been a huge part of my improvement.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
