I received outstanding service at REI co-op in Northville. I was looking for vegan light-hiking shoes. Tracey took the time to check all the options available. She clearly explained the benefits of joining the co-op and how it would work for me. Checking out was quick and efficient. The store is clean and well organized. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

I called the store with a question regarding inventory, and Katie went above and beyond in informing me and helping me find the right product. Thank you!

I am a marathoner. 64, and both my wife and I buy 2 pairs of shoes each per year. We also buy REI clothes and I spend about $200/yr on gels, etc. I recently had to buy trail shoes and decided to go to REI. The salesperson, Tom, is an immense wealth of knowledge and told him i will be coming here for life. I bought a pair of shoes that I thought would work with Vibram bottoms but during the run realized that the shoes were too narrow and were going to cause an injury if I continued running in them. I walked in them after and they continued to cause pain. I thought the REI guarantee was in place and upon revisit to Northville store to buy another pair of Brooks I asked to return the ones I had bought for the trail. I was denied. I returned the new Brooks to Tom stating, "I guess your not my salesman for life." I am not the type of person to scheme the system. I went right across the street to Fleet Feet and purchased the new Brooks. It is unfortunate.
