This is going to be long. Weather was supposed to be ugly on Saturday and we are on a destination golf weekend. We called ahead to see about weather raincheck. Was told No, unless thunder and lightning. Got it and understand. Also asked if we could delay our start due to pending radar forecast. "No, we are booked." Got it. We arrive to the course for our late morning start. Nobody outside to welcome us, take our bags or simply say hi. There are a few cars in the parking lot already but super quiet. Check in at ProShop. Did overhear that some people were sent home but whatever. Told to grab and cart and all set. Load up our carts, head to course check-in shack. No ranger. Ok, off we go... Hole 8 has the only flushable facilities. OMG!!! For $135 pp on a September morning this is disgusting! Women's completely backed up water pooled up from overflow, go to Men's. What in the hell! Walk in to see a black urinal (your water isnt that hard) and although the commode was usable it hadn't been serviced for sometime either. The stall hadnt been swept or power washed all season.... Come on! Good thing we had drinks!, nope, no bar cart at all. No sign of life on the course. The cars i noticed earlier must have been staff. We make the turn... Oops no turn! And we are thirsty because as good patrons we didnt bring our own cooler. Called the ProShop. Oh yeah she is cooking up here and is swamped. Call us back with a different extension. Call back put in a hopeful order for drinks and dogs, hoping to get them before we finish 18. We did, thank you. Then 2 holes later, like a miracle there are players in front of us, behind us and the bar cart out of nowhere.... finish the round, again no one to greet us, assist with bags etc. No hospitality, no concern. And no rerun visit. So many opportunities for the course to check in with us. They lose. There are too many choices to not put any effort into your customers. Course was great and challenging.
