  Staff was helpful in finding what I needed, but was extremely pushy about me getting a membership, I had already expressed I wasn't interested in getting it, she then proceeded to convince who was with me it was a good idea and I was pressured into it after saying no multiple times because I just wanted to go home. No means no please leave it at that. Will not be returning.

  I'm not an avid outdoor enthusiast, but I'm 60 years old so I've seen a lot of stores in my day. Yesterday was my first time at an REI store and I had a good impression right away by the nicely organized display areas. I was able to try out different camp chairs and had help with setting up a very nice Nemo Satellite that didn't have a display out and I LOVE that there are about 12 different sleep pads and an elevated plywood platform to test them on! I found 2 really good ones within 5 minutes. There were a few other associates that were very helpful despite it being a busy Sunday, but I will never forget Heather at the checkout counter in Grand Rapids, Michigan! She not only complimented my Meowboys T-shirt, but also has one. Thanks for being your Mythical best Heather! 😉

  Knowledgeable and friendly staff in every section of the store, great selection, easy pick up for online orders, and easy to order items they didn't have in stock. Love REI.
