- DMDiggin Marriage2 days ago5.0This is my fourth full year of playing golf, prior to starting in 2022, I had never played before. I have been taking lessons from GolfTec since I started, I have taken lessons from several of the coaches at my local GolfTec, most recently I have been with Julie Schut, she’s a fantastic coach. She’s helped me make some big strides this season, another coach I have somewhat regular contact with through the PGAHOPE program commented recently on how much better my ball striking has been this year. I am still struggling with consistency issues but I have confidence Julie will see me through it! I highly recommend using your local GolfTec store no matter what your handicap is, they’ll save you strokes. If you’re in the Grand Rapids, MI area I’d highly recommend taking lessons from Julie or any of the coaches from the NE location.
- JKJ K2 days ago5.0Do yourself a favor if you want to improve, see Ian Hughes. I've been with him for 6 years on and off, (mostly on). It's not cheap but nothing worthwhile ever is. Start with a swing evaluation then proceed. At times you may experience two steps back to take one step forward. Golf is hard. If it was easy everyone would be scratch. Ian can help you attain your goals. Stop trying to buy a game with new equipment and invest in lessons!!

You walk away with a lesson summary to reference when needed. These coaches have all the answers and have helped many, many golfers. I can’t recommend them enough- do yourself a favor (especially if you wanna compete with your buddy’s and win).

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.

Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions.
