  Great staff...returned DarnTuf socks with esse and Brian overheard my request...followed me to the sock dept. Out of my size he wrote what to order to give to the cashier. This followed by meeting Anne who took my lady friend (being 88 I don't have girlfriends...or do I!) and me around the store. She bought and again I ordered. Lilly, I think, cashier made it all happen...with a 😃 smile! Great store...especially being a member!

  Deepa is the rudest associate I’ve ever dealt with in a store in my entire life. I would drive to the nearest REI other than this to avoid dealing with her.

  Excellent. I am researching bicycles and I spoke with Bill. He was so helpful. The process can be overwhelming and he was able to break things down. So friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. Thank you, Bill.

  I’m writing this review as I’m walking out of the store, and based on some of the other reviews, I’m wondering if I dealt with the same cashier mentioned below. I’ve never returned a pair of used shoes in my life, but REI puts a lot of emphasis on its satisfaction guarantee and the ability to return something if it doesn’t work out for you. I bought a pair of On Cloud shoes and wore them for about a week and a half before deciding they weren’t working for me. When I tried to return them, the cashier gave me a hard time about how “worn” and “used” they were, saying the tread was basically gone, and repeatedly pointed out that exclusions apply to the return policy. I understand that return policies have limitations, but the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering how REI promotes its satisfaction guarantee. The whole experience caught me off guard and honestly makes me hesitant to purchase from this location in the future.

  I am a member and went in over the weekend to return a pair of hiking boots I had for less than 3 weeks. I assume there was a defect with the stitching because with less than 30 miles on them, there were holes in the boots. I was the first customer of the day and the cashier was extremely rude, accused my of lying (multiple times) about how long I had the boots, and said “there’s no way” he’d take them to return them. I told him multiple times that I literally bought them there at that location a few weeks ago and asked him to just look up the purchase on my account because I was not lying. After a back and forth for several minutes, he finally looked it up and saw the purchase date (20 days prior). He did not apologize and take the boots, but told me I had to clean them because “there’s no way he could resell them like that.” I thought it was odd they were planning on reselling this clearly defective pair of hiking boots with holes in it, but I took my boots home and rinsed them off. The next person didn’t have a problem with returning them when I got back. I talked to the supervisor and she apologized. I am, however, worried to buy more expensive items there if they are going to be cagey about allowing me to return them. Photos of my pre cleaned boots- doesn’t show the damage well but you can see how filthy and used they are
