- DDDavidJun 3, 20265.0Not a flex... But, between this location, the REI in Columbia, and online sales, I have spent $2,387.78 at REI since May 20, 2026. There's shame... But not enough to stop me. I love road trips, I love camping, and I love the outdoors. Plus, that total would have been significantly more, given a lot of the transactions occurred during the Memorial Day 20% off sale. REI has been the best source for tested and proven, top quality outdoor products for those who actually plan to use them. I have had some pretty sketchy camping experiences, including getting caught in a 9 inch snow storm when the weather forecast was calling for 0% chance of precipitation. If my group was not experienced and properly equipped, it may have been a catastrophic outcome. When it comes to outdoor gear, you get what you pay for, and you never know when your life, or the lives of your friends (added for dramatic effect) might depend on it.
