- KFKevin FlynnOct 7, 20263.0Sorry, but who runs the cult at REI pike and rose? There needs to be self checkout or a line that is purchase no talk only. It has nothing to do with busy or peak hours. I have been there at all times. It is purposeful which is frustrating. It is 2026 and everyone that uses REI is rich and well invested in AI and all the other nonsense so "aww man organic" doesn't fly. My time is worth money too and watching the guy fumble through the glasses and not being able to get them because he would not hand me a pair; I have to try again tomorrow. I do not like this side quest I just want my Maui Jim's bro. Allow me to choose whether I like the color not you. Man o man. Seriously, I'll update this tomorrow 10/8 if I am able to complete this unnecessary side quest. Love the products and when I want to chat I would be happy to enter another lane so people with lives can live them

I did not appreciate the mini lecture they gave me about the importance of returning things within the return window. I was well aware I was outside of the window; it was your discretion whether to allow the return or not. Please do not shame your customers.

- VLVincent LSep 11, 20265.0Like pretty much all REI's the staff here are great. The staff are the bike portion are especially helpful. Chris at the bike department was able to get me in and out in 20 minutes. He pointed out my mistake in my rear derailleur install, fixed and adjusted it. And only charged me for a derailleur adjustment. I was happy as a kid getting their first bike to have if working correctly again! Huge thanks!
