  Awesome Layout and Greens, but Brutal Pace and Poor Player Assistants --- I really like this course, but the pace of play and lack of course management absolutely ruins the experience. Golf should not take 5 hours to play. It can easily be done in 4 hours if management actually enforces it. The Good: -Awesome Layout: The course design itself is fantastic and a lot of fun to play. -Spectacular Greens: The greens are top-tier. They roll both fast and true, exactly like country club greens. -Great Sand: The bunkers are filled with top-grade sand. The fairway bunkers are currently a work in progress, but they are on the way to looking great when finished. The Bad: -Disrespectful Clientele: Too many hackers and non-golfers who drink too much, play incredibly slow, and have zero etiquette. They constantly leave bunkers unraked, ignore their divots, and refuse to fix pitch marks on the greens. -Course is underestimated: The course is too challenging for players with little golfing experience. They should consider playing elsewhere or coming at non-peak hours with an experienced golfer. No disrespect but seniors that can barely walk or hit the ball 100 yards, this is not the course for you! -Terrible Player Assistant: One of the marshals out here is a total jerk and useless. We pointed out a massive bottleneck where 4 groups were backed up on a single hole. He acknowledged it was slow but claimed "nothing could be done," even though the group causing the logjam was a full hole behind the group ahead of them. -Power Tripping over the Wrong Things: The same player assistant later drove his cart up within 4 feet of the green just to yell at players for having their carts barely touching the grass near the path. He has the wit to nitpick cart placement for a group playing well, but lacks the spine to push the group causing a course-wide delay. Fixing pace of play isn't hard; it’s a choice. If people can't keep up, they shouldn't be playing out here, period. I love the conditions, but management needs to step up and enforce basic golf etiquette.

  Coming back to life. Green side bunkers are new and excellent, fairway bunkers are clay and supposedly going to get fix soon, desperate need for a ranger, pace of play was long.

  Excellent, fun but challenging Golf course. Greens and fairways in wonderful condition. Very appreciative and thankful for the brand new bunkers! Staff is overly friendly from inside to store to the starter. A south suburban blessing! 🙂
