  What a terrible experience. Day started off great, the starter was the nicest human being I’ve ever met - wish I got his name but it was all downhill from there. I get to hole #2 and playing behind 4 people who decide to hit 3 tee shots each. By the time they finally were out of range for me to drive, the group behind was already waiting for the tee box. Instant jam End up playing through this group and just find the entire course is backlogged and everyone’s waiting. We end up skipping around to 9 and go play the back 9. Of course get stuck behind a solo playing 4/5 balls and wouldn’t let us play through. You have grounds crew parking the cart basically on the fringe of the green as you try to hit your approach shot in. Random guy just walking with an umbrella who clearly just wandered onto the course. Ended up picking up after 13 and walked off. No rangers on the course enforcing pace of play, course getting boggled up. First time I’ve ever left a course without playing my moneys worth. Absolute waste of money which is sad because I’ve played here before and enjoyed the course. 2 stars because the starter and guy in the clubhouse were very nice and understanding but what a waste of time and money.

  I golfed once a week at Chic Evans last two years and it became noticeablly better this year maintaining the course and the facilities. Bathroom is much better and cleaner. Bushes and landscaping are taken care better than ever. This course is so beautiful and fun to play. This course has so much fun aspects of streams, little hills, and woods. I can see the improvement and I compliment people who made it better for golfers. Two thumbs up 👍👍

  Today 8/17, my husband and I had a tee time at 6:50am, the starter was very rude to me. We have been playing at this course and many others for many years and never experienced something like this. My husband went in to pay and I went to put my bag in the cart, the starter was wasn't there, he was coming walking from the cart barn, using a loud voice(not screaming but we were not close to each other) ask me if I did the check in, I told him my husband is doing it right now (not screaming but he wasn't still near me) and he started telling me that I wasn't allowed to put my stuff in the cart until he check me in, so I told him that I didn't know that, that we never had an issue before(first carts had no keys so you can't take the cart no where, so I don't know what's problem on putting my clubs in) For me that will be the end of the issue cuz I wasn't aware of that rule BUT NO He told me that it was on signs on the path there, with the signs that said NO ALCOHOL ON THE COURSE (so I told her but they sell alcohol in the proshop) and he said (you can't bring your own) Something that I know, so I told him that I didn't have alcohol that if he wants to check the bags, he told me (NO, IF YOU ARE DRINKING AT THIS TIME, YOU HAVE A DRINKING PROBLEM) so I told him that with that attitude he had the problem ( I don't drink, I had a cup of coffee with me) He was rude and disrespectful with those comments, went I told him that I didn't know that rule it was supposed to be the end of the issue and he's comment about the alcohol was irrelevant at all. When my husband came out with the receipt, he smiled and say good morning to him like nothing without even mentioning that next time we have to check in with him before grabbing the cart 😡 he has a problem with ladies or what?
