When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted the front desk. It seemed like that was the only thing that went right this night. We played a few rounds of bowling and decided to order pizza after we finished our 2nd or 3rd game. We ended up with the pizza + pitcher combo for $30. Note that this was at 10:15pm. We played a few more rounds of bowling and after 45 minutes, my friend and I went back up to the counter to get an update on our pizza. The couple playing who arrived after us had gotten their chicken wings before our pizza, and we ordered before them. After we asked for an update, they said to wait 2 more minutes so they can flip the pizza. We finished another round of bowling and went back for an update about 20 minutes later. This was about 11:17pm. After the pizza was finally ready, they just gave it to my friend even though they delivered our drinks to our lane. Also- the drinks were supposed to come right after we ordered, and even they came 45 late (around 11ish) Once we got the pizza, it looked bad. The crust was burnt on more than half of it. And the staff claimed they “had it on a slow cooker because they had to turn off the oven” the bowlero’s pizza in Woodridge actually had parmesan and it tasted good. This pizza, the sauce tasted tangy and later made my stomach hurt. The cheese was not evenly spread around the pizza and the pizza was very floppy. Also- it’s not just the food. The pin setter wasn’t working properly multiple times- requiring us to reset the pins or have inaccurate scores. An employee went into the back to reset something and when my friend thought it was safe to bowl, the pin lever went down, causing the ball to hit it. Lastly, as closing approached, we were starting to clean up and finish our slices of pizza. The bowling alley was closing up, turning off sign lights and the workers were goofing off out in front of the counter. I had a feeling that they were rushing us to get out even though we were actively packing up. The Bowlero in woodridge was so much better on so many levels. We will not be returning to the bowlero in Lyons. Huge disappointment.

I have been to this location (Lyons) twice after work with some colleagues. The first time we went we kept having issues with the lane, making us have to go up to their front desk to inform them. The 2nd time we went; it was extremely hot inside (apparently the AC had been broken for 2 weeks now). Mind you it was 80 degrees outside. Aside from it being hot inside we again had issues with our lane. Causing us having to pause to inform the staff of the issue. Eventually we were moved over to the next lane but the issue persisted. I’m not sure if they just need to do an update, but I don’t think we’ll be back to this location.
