  Our group of four families, all with kids under eight, spent the day canoeing at Reed's, and overall we had a great time on the river. Special thanks to the lady at the front desk — she was wonderful from check-in to launch, making sure everyone had life jackets, was signed in, and clearly understood the drop-off and pick-up process. Her friendliness set a great tone for the day. Unfortunately, one part of the experience fell short. One of our families was on the water for the first time, a bit nervous, and had a three-year-old with them. Their canoe wasn't moving well, and after struggling for 20–30 minutes they decided to call the shuttle for a pickup — a reasonable choice for a first-time family with a small child. Sadly, the shuttle staff were rude to them, shouting and visibly showing their frustration, even throwing things on the ground back at the office. That's not the experience anyone signs up for, and it was disappointing to see one family leave with that memory while the rest of us had fun. I shared this feedback in person with Casey, and I appreciate that they listened and took it into consideration. I'm sharing it here as well so other visitors know what to expect. With a little more patience and customer care from the shuttle crew — matching the warmth of the front desk — this would easily be a five-star experience for everyone.

  Family had a great time! Staff was friendly & informative. Equipment was sturdy and clean. We were driven to the drop off spot and picked up as soon as we finished. No waiting! Did the 2 hour canoe trip and it was perfect for the little kiddos. River was calm and we lucked out with perfect weather.
