- RWRick WhiteheadAug 18, 20265.0I have been getting lessons from instructor Lucas Geiger since this past spring and have experienced major improvements in my game. I look forward to each class of instruction. He. Has helped correct all the problems I was having with my drives. The technique he taught me for a short pitch around the green is very effective. And his total demeanor and way of instructing is very effective. Last week I just signed up for another year of lessons to continue improving my game with his help. The Des Plaines training location is great also. They have a great group of instructors and there’s always a practice room available when I’ve needed one.

My coach is Justin Bemtley who was named as one of the best by Golf Digest and I agree. I'm sure I'm not his best student but he continues to work with me on my frustrating hard to overcome habit. Okay maybe two. However this is after rebuilding my swing(at my request) to hit beautiful draws when I do things right like 60-70% of the time. I hit my numbers that are now a solid club longer than before. And there's another club longer left in the tank if I feel the need to use it. Thank you Justin.

Golftec in Des Plaines also has a short game area with greens and bunkers so I learn how to deal with real course situations. I’ve been working with Justin for several years and my handicap has gone from ~23 to 13.

The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
