NIU Recreation serves the campus and community by supporting wellbeing through quality facilities and programs. The Recreation Center is the main facility with 100,000 square feet of recreation and fitness space including courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton or table tennis, racquetball courts, cardio and strength training rooms, locker rooms with saunas, a 3-lane 1/5-mile track, boxing and plyometric room, bouldering room and a TRX room. Sports equipment is available for check-out. Membership includes access to the Recreation Center, Chick Evans Fieldhouse, Anderson Pool, and the Outdoor Recreation Sports Complex as well as fitness classes, personal training, nutrition coaching, and outdoor adventure rentals and trips.
