  Mostly cool, except that bike shop is open until 9:00 usually. Naturally the time I’m in need it’s closed before 8:30 I this isn’t posted anywhere!

  This place is more for the fashion aspect of outdoors people. There is absolutely nothing there for experienced watermen, fisherman, real adventurer types. Yes they have very low quality weekenders who go to places with running water and electricity but nothing quality for anybody hard-core that prefers function over fashion. Just my opinion

  REI is literally my favorite store!!! this one is massive. The key is to go on a weekday, midday if you can swing it. everyone is pleasant. as Elle woods said, people who exercise (or go outside) are always happy! because of the dopamine! I had a really great experience with an expert backpack fitter - can’t remember his name but blonde guy with deadpan humor, thank you for patiently teaching me all about the backpacking universe! it’s a very comprehensive process and took approx 45 minutes so schedule accordingly, and it’s helpful to know how much weight you’re probably going to take and what volume pack you’re looking for. found two packs I really like and will probably buy one. anyway - always a great service experience - really friendly nice employees with loads of expertise - excellent time all around.
