Situated steps from Lake Michigan on land that once held the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893; the golf course opened six years later in 1899. The only eighteen hole golf course in the CPD Golf portfolio, the course meanders through the overall footprint of the 500 acre Jackson Park site and includes mature trees and large greens that all offer a challenging golf experience. Par 5’s reaching 560 yards and par 3’s extending to 200 yards require golfers to utilize every club in the bag.

- RRRaymond ReottAug 25, 20265.0The course was in great shape with lots of additional improvements in progress. New practice facility opens in September with many new tee boxes to follow. Bunkers were completely refreshed with new sand. Played in 3:20. Staff was friendly.
- DEDavid EhleAug 2, 20265.0Full 18 tournament course holes on the south side with a long and rich history. Front 9 gets you warmed up, and then back 9 turns up the challenge level. Very attractive for a public course. Nice variety of layouts, some sand, some water. Recently updated, with a new short game arena opening by the end of the season and some fresh teeboxes almost ready (8/26) Very pleasant course to play. Staff is really great. Friendly and attentive. Rangers are proactive and helpful. Full changing room. Limited food selection on weekdays.
- RARobert AndersonJul 27, 20264.0Bunkers have been redone and are in GREAT shape! Irrigation has helped fairways, but several tee complexes are still (?) closed and need grass to grow; tall order in this heat. Overall, a fine experience for beginners and accomplished golfers alike.

Fresh sand traps is also huge. Looks like they may be trying to expand to 72 par too. Count me for many more rounds!
- AAAlly AlstonJul 15, 20264.0Nice improvements this summer (2026) and staff is super friendly. Be sure to bring your own water - only one fountain on the course and it doesn't taste great. Grounds are in good shape. Note that there isn't a turn at the clubhouse, so it's not the best course to play 9. You'll end up walking 9 holes back to the parking lot.
