  Went today and was looking for some track and possibly some buildings, first off VERY poor N scale building selection, secondly as we were picking up track we noticed that the box said $1 each but they were bundled, and we thought that it was a great price for track and keep in mind that the track was 5 pieces per bundle and we brought that to the counter then started looking for scenery but the grass and ballast I usually buy is around $8 or $9 dollars at the hobby shop I go to locally and it was $12 or $13 here. So that was a no. To top it all off at the end when we thought we were done a VERY rude worker told us that the 5pc bundle track was 5 bucks which would be 1 dollar for each track. Which is completely trash advertising as the box said $1 each. Why would you bundle track and put $1 each if they are bundled, completely trash. The guy then started to argue with us at the checkout about it after we told them that it was false advertising and then told us in a VERY rude way “nothing in the train world is $1” which is completely untrue as I have found various things under $1. The only person that was nice I believe the owner and he was helpful the whole time while trying to pick things out, I believe to be owner checked us out the 2 workers working at the time were laughing at us. Overall I don’t recommend this place as everything was over priced and very rude workers along with terrible advertising.

  Very helpful staff. I've seen other reviews claiming their staff ignores customers, or something along those lines and I simply havent ever had that experience. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They also seem genuinely interested in how your hobby is going, and will give input to help you onto your next stage. The only times I havent been helped immediately was if they were already with another customer. If they were at the point of discussing the point the customer is at in their hobby, they have always been more than willing to see what they can do to help me if I just wait patiently nearby. The level of personal attention I get at Hobby Haven, I simply cannot get anywhere else. The owner himself is usually in the store, and has been an amazing help many times. Lastnight in fact, while he was helping prep people for the races they had that night, he took the time to help me get the parts together for a custom wheel setup for my RC plane. During the races he answered a ton of questions I had about getting started racing RC cars, and never once acted like I was a burden even though he was very busy. I could buy that setup online possibly for cheaper, but I will be returning today to purchase the exact setup he recommended to get me going. The assistance you get there, you wont find online. We need to keep stores like this going and support them. Thank you to the hobby haven staff, genuinely, for your help over the years with my hobbies. Ill be in soon to pick up the Fury we talked about lastnight.

  Horrible experience came there for the first time bought a RC car brought it back to my son he drove it a little bit maybe five minutes if that he didn’t like it so I came to return it the guy as soon as I came in with the box rudely said if it’s broken, we don’t take it back. I told him nicely it’s not he checked it out seeing that it was driven and said that he can’t take it back, but there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s not even two days old. The receipt says they dont take back broken ones this one isnt broken.
