  I did not really know God in my life before coming to Camp Shalom outside of the annual trips to church with my grandmother at Christmas and Easter. When a few friends invited me to a religious summer camp I was apprehensive but it was the best decision I ever made to say yes. My experiences at Camp Shalom changed my life, I grew much much stronger in my faith, but also gained some of the greatest friends in my life that I still talk to daily. There isn't a better experience around for a fun faith filled week than this beauty nestled in the woods of Northeast Iowa.

  This is a great place to pray and play went here as a camper from 4th-8th grade and loved every minute of it!

  I grew up attending Camp Shalom as a child. It was always my favorite week of the summer. Camp helped me grow in my faith life and create friendships. I eventually volunteered as an Assistant Counselor and later became a summer staff member. I've worked as the temporary Administrative Assistant and been a volunteer/Board Member. I cannot imagine my life without the positive impact of Camp Shalom.
