  Frequent player, lucky to even sit down and have a drink now a days without already being out of your money. Became a straight donation center basically. I am preferred and don't even get the comps I deserve or any of my gifts anymore. Its pathetic. Have went way down hill! Definitely make me consider taking my business else where.

  Check in was simple, everything was clean. I was on my anniversary and booked a river view hot tub suite, pretty pricey, I opened my window in my room, seen the backside of the casino, others could look right into my room, and when looked way over the casino approximately 500yds, you could see the river, but due to lack of privacy, I could not even leave my window open and enjoy the view. Casino staff not helpful, all seemed grumpy, and they use Penn Play, the casino does not have a Player's Club, and no one could help me navigate the Penn Play system. Do not eat at 1893 restaurant or whatever its name is. They take econolodge free breakfast, put it on a plate and then over charge you for it. This is not a joke, it is literally another cheap motel chains free breakfast, they dish it up, and then sell it to you. The room itself was nice, clean, fast internet connections, everything worked.

  The hotel itself is good. The staff for the hotel is also good, however the casino staff is not good. Initially I ordered a drink from a waitress, which I was lucky to even find a waitress. my drink arrived and it wasn't exactly what I was wanting, but I chalked it up to my mistake explaining what I wanted. The second time I ordered my drink I made sure to explain exactly the way I wanted it. The server (wearing a mask over her face) brought the order correctly, but tried taking the previous cup which was full of Ice. I had ordered my new drink without ice because the previous drink was ALL ice with very little beverage. The server got very upset because I wanted to keep the previous cup that was full of Ice. I tried to explain to the waitress that fact however, he got VERY angry saying I could only have 1 beverage, even though the other cup was empty except for ice. The server stormed off making comments under her breath. Fast forward 2 nights later I was at a slot machine drinking a beverage that I had ordered myself from the bar and 2 security people approached me and stated that it had came to their attention that I was drinking a beverage from a "coffee cup" and that is a violation. Not understanding what was happening, I asked them to explain what I was doing wrong again? The security person named "Kaleb" said that Iowa has a law that says alcoholic beverages HAD to be in a clear plastic cup? At this point I not only was I feeling embarrassed by the fact that I'm being surrounded by security, and completely unaware what "Laws" I was violating, considering I was minding my own business, and not intoxicated, and putting my hard earned money into the casino's slot machines. I ended up having to go to the a bar and retrieving a clear plastic cup to put my beverage in. When I did this, I saw the same server (with the facemask on) standing there watching the entire interaction. after security left, within a few minutes, a very large security person approached me and stated " You wanted to talk to me"? Again, I am completely embarrassed by the new attention on me. Evidently 'Kaleb" told this guy I wanted to speak to a supervisor? I researched the law that "Kaleb" referred to and there is NO law requiring alcoholic beverages be in a clear cup. This was nothing more than a clear unjustified harassment!

  Traveling through council bluffs decided to try our luck at ameristar casino and never got the chance. Aa we pulled in the back mostly empty parking lot a security truck immediately pulled up and informed us that we were not welcome to gamble there unless we had a hotel room. He said that they could not accommodate the rv we were driving and we would need to leave. We informed him we had no intention of staying the night and only wished to gamble for a while and he again informed us we would have to go. He then suggested that we gamble at horse shoe casino. Over the last couple years i have easily lost a few thousand dollsrs at different ameristar locations but they wont get anothet penny from me.

  Terrible! We have been on a road trip and decided to stay here because it was across the street from the gas station. The greeting at the front desk was disdainful. She acted as if I were troubling her by interrupting her conversation with a co-worker. She didn’t say hello. She said, “ID AND CREDIT CARD.” Not another word was spoken. We went back outside, parked the car and dragged our suitcases across the parking lot. We re-entered the front door and trudged across the lobby area. We could not find the elevators. They were nowhere! The one nice person here, a janitor of some kind, asked us if we were looking for the elevators. He pointed us behind ourselves to a hidden alcove with elevators. The sports bar was filled with Nebraska fans which was great to see. We enjoyed that. The bartenders reminded me of Jean ValJean. They were miserable. No service was offered by them. When my hub finally ordered an Arnold Palmer the bartender never brought it! The woman behind the bar was slamming glasses and dishes into the dishwasher or bins right in front of us. She made quite a ruckus. I am writing this because of the main culprit: the mattress. I have never had a worst night sleep and we are on an extended road trip with the last few weeks in hotel beds. The bed was lumpy, hard and icky. The second main culprit (haha) was the price! It was Saturday night so we paid 3 times the Wednesday night price. I won’t talk about the so-called casino-on-a-boat-Nextdoor other than to say it was disgusting. What a burn.
