  One of the Best Renovation Stories in Hawaii Golf Right Now Pearl at Kalauao has been through a serious transformation, and the result is a course that deserves a lot more attention than it currently gets. Originally opened in 1967 as Pearl Country Club and designed by Akira Sato, the par-72 layout sits in the hills of Aiea with views of Pearl Harbor and the Waianae Mountains that are genuinely hard to match anywhere on the island. The property has been part of Oahu's golf community for nearly six decades, and the towering Monkey Pod trees throughout the course give it a natural character that no renovation can manufacture. What the 2024 renovation did was bring the infrastructure in line with that setting. All greens were resurfaced with Platinum TE Paspalum turf. Bunkers were fully redesigned using the Better Billy Bunker method. New tee boxes were added, a new three-hole pitch-and-putt short course was built, and the practice facilities were significantly expanded. The redesign was led by architect Kevin Ramsay of Golfplan, and Golf Digest and Golf Inc. both recognized the results in 2026. The Smartgolfcourses team visited the property in Aiea and came away genuinely impressed. The course plays through naturally hilly terrain with elevation changes that keep every hole interesting. Ownership returned to Kamehameha Schools in 2020, and you can feel the commitment to the land and the community throughout the property. One of the more exciting golf destinations on Oahu right now.

  Great course. Wicked views. Maintained very well. Bunkers are steep. Carts have the screens with info and music, etc. Definitely a new remodel and it shows well.

  球会服务很好，设施也不错。风景普通，看着简单实则很难。球道算是宽的，但是很硬，所以有大坡度的球道要占满坡高点打。果岭非常非常硬，攻果岭很难，特别是有风加前旗，不会停球得打果岭前。果岭周边也不好切，要切非常干净不能用反弹角。果岭几乎没线，速度11左右推的非常爽。非常有挑战的场，值得继续刷。
