Overpriced for quality. Much better conditions at many other nearby courses. I called day of and asked about the conditions, they told me the conditions were good. After paying for 3 golfers, we realized on hole 1 the conditions were far from good, the greens were recently punched and sanded, nobody told us, even the clubhouse. The fairways were brown, after hundreds of rounds, the greens here were the worst Ive played, obviously due to the aeration and sanding. Played 6 other courses within 90 minutes and they all were in good to great condition.
Talked to clubhouse, they didnt care, called the line that told me the conditions were good, they said they would call back, nothing. The course asked for a review a couple of days later so I gave one. The next day a manager reached out upset about the review even though it was all true and I did everything I could to work it out with them before the review to no avail. I was told the course is in bad shape due to a drought, but over the next 6 days and 6 rounds at 6 other courses, no other course had remotely close the issues, a couple warned us they punched the greens a month before, honesty, all I ever wanted, and the other courses were wonderful, so the drought excuse doesnt hold water.
I was offered another round down the road but I live on the other side of the country and when I asked an alternative solution, they ignored 2 emails.
The layout is fine but nothing special, the service was poor, the conditions were beyond poor, all for higher priced golf than all courses within 90 minutes other than Palmetto Dunes, which is significantly better, Old South was significantly better at half the cost. Henderson much better at half the cost, Hilton Head area courses all much better at similar price. The round here was not enjoyable and frustrating due to bouncy greens and no straight putts, burnt fairways poor greens and poor service. Not worth half the price.
