Marshwood was the first golf course built at The Landings. The course opened for play in July 1974.
Originally a design collaboration between Arnold Palmer and Frank Duane, course architect Tim Liddy helped redesign the course in 2003. The greens, tees, and bunkers were all rebuilt, and the drainage and irrigation systems received an update.
New concrete cart paths were installed, and you will now find avid golfers weaving through the oak and pine trees of Skidaway Island as they tackle the tight course. Golfers also enjoy some of the most spectacular views of Romerly Marsh. Marshwood’s 12th hole is considered the most scenic at The Landings.
