  REI has always been a wonderful place for me to explore and purchase gear. I have been coming to it with my dad since I was a young girl. Today, I had a very disappointing experience at the bike section. I requested assistance on purchasing a helmet and the lady there, while she did ultimately help us, her initial attitude was very rude and standoffish. She seemed to be offended when we asked for help finding a more reasonably priced helmet, one that was not $150+ dollars. We bought an excellent cannondale from REI last year for a reasonable price so I dont tbink out request was outlandish. When she found out we were members, her attitude totally changed. It does not cost anything to be kind and professional from the get go. Giving two stars because she ultimately did help us and make a sale.

  Really disappointed in the store as well as the manner I was spoken to. Was visiting atlanta. Purchased shorts from this location. Went to wear shorts today and noticed a hole in the leg. Took store to try and exchange as I was disappointed to purchase 70 dollars shorts with a whole. Upon trying to make exhange the clerk was incredibly condescending when asking me "how do i think the hole got there?, looks like cherry or ash to me." I don't partake in smoking of ant kind. Thanks guys.

  Greg was very helpful in helping me choose the right backpack for my needs! He spent alot of time educating me on different products and helping me test them out.

  I flew in to Atlanta from Germany and made my way to the Sandy Springs REI. I needed to buy stove fuel and swap my packs for a slightly bigger one prior to my AT through hike. The staff was super helpful and provided first rate service! Great atmosphere and team at this REI!!!!
