  When you are serious about needing good quality outdoor gear, this is the place to go. The staff there are experienced and know their stuff. Their return policy is the best there is.

  Bobby is the best bike mechanic around. 5 star service and communication. Krystal is also amazing and always makes the REI experience 10/10 highly recommend

  REI is well stocked with a great selection. The store is beautiful and well maintained. It better be in Winter Park. Along with their location and selection, you get some premium pricing, though. It's a great place to physically interact with actual products that you can buy cheaper elsewhere, but the savings is worth the time and travel.

  A great, chilled out location. It's a great place to go hangout if the outdoors is your playground. Full disclosure, I also use the high-tech apparel to stay cool and dry at work in addition to my outdoor activities. I've been an REI member since 1994. The Winter Park location is a great example of an REI outlet. Winter Park associates are well trained , knowledgeable, give fantastic customer service, they're friendly and have hands-on knowledge about products from a long list of vendors sold in house (think Patagonia, Thule, Garmin, Birkenstock, Marmot, The North Face, Yakima, Petzl, etc.) on top of the REI branded quality line. REI lifetime membership in the co-op has fantastic perks and it's a huge bonus for the Orlando area to have a physical REI store to put your hands on actual gear to see how you interact with it before you're in the backwoods. There are knowledge and training classes taught at this REI covering a variety of subjects - hey! a little knowledge can go a long way. I've had a couple of hands-on positive experiences doing returns/exchanges to the store from equipment that I purchased online. It's always been a hassle-free experience with a helpful friendly attitude from the staff member. My only gripe is that they only carry Olukai sandals and no shoes. As Olukai is notoriously difficult to fit - having a brick and mortar vendor to actually get your size correct would be great!
