  I had a great experience visiting REI in Tallahassee. The store has a great selection of outdoor gear, clothing, footwear, and equipment for a wide variety of activities. Whether you’re into hiking, camping, climbing, cycling, or simply spending more time outdoors, there is a lot to explore throughout the store. One of the things I appreciated most was how organized and easy to navigate everything was. The products are clearly displayed, and there is a good variety of brands and price points to choose from. The store also carries plenty of quality outdoor equipment, making it a convenient place to find everything you need for an upcoming adventure. The employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help answer questions without being overly pushy. That made the shopping experience much more enjoyable, especially when looking at products where having some expert advice is helpful.

  I love REI, but wow... they're breaking everyone's bank account. Everything in the store is ridiculously overpriced. I understand there's a cost to maintaining the beautiful stores, clean layouts, and great displays, but it feels like they're destroying the outdoor community one wallet at a time. To make matters worse, the quality of many products seems to be declining while the prices keep climbing every year. It's honestly discouraging. I've slowly started buying my outdoor gear elsewhere or secondhand because REI just feels completely out of touch with what everyday outdoor enthusiasts can actually afford.

  The staff are very helpful and the store offers a good variety of things. I like shopping here and highly recommend this place.

  I just tried to return a shirt I bought at REI. I didn't have a receipt. But I thought with the REI logo on the shirt, they would at least give me store credit. They asked if I had the card it was purchased with. Not a bad ask, but my wife purchased it and she's out of town. I explained this and the cashier responded with" I need proof of purchase." I said isn't the REI logo and the fact that it still has the store tag on it. Proof of purchase? She said no. I explained my wife will be gone for 3 months. I don't want to bring it in when she returns and have you say oh you're outside the window for returns. It's obviously your product, can you give me store credit? At the very least? She refused. Normally, REI is a good place. But they have really weird policies at times that don't take into account the fact that you just spent $1,200 on a car top carrier, and thousands more in the last year. I'm shaking my head at the rigidity.
