  I truly regret spending a penny with this company. My first time in i get ignored. Sales associate drops the bomb on the member bonus card. Order something online to find this company uses the cheapest most unreliable shipping company in the world. Package says delivered, but thats a lie from lasership. I will not be purchasing a third time. Keep my future rewards where the sun aint

  I love REI and have been to many all over the USA. That being said, this is the worst one I've been to. The store is always in Disarray, many of the representatives are smug but not very knowledgeable, and most time I go in they are out of what I'm looking for but they give the regular, "but we can order it for you." Response. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  Went in to grab a Patagonia Better Sweater jacket and left genuinely impressed by the staff. Everyone was helpful in a way that felt natural rather than scripted, which honestly caught me off guard a bit. Not sure if it’s their hiring approach or just company culture, but it’s a noticeable difference from most retail experiences. While I was there I also tried on a pair of Birkenstock Bostons. Didn’t end up buying them, but the associate helping me kept up an easy, comfortable conversation the whole time I was trying them on, no pressure, just genuine friendliness. That kind of low key attentiveness makes a real difference when you’re shopping.

  Recently, I went to purchase a backpack from this REI location. The actual store is nice and really organized, but my rating is a reflection of the customer service. I went to check out, and the backpack I was purchasing was a North Face X REI collaboration item, so I had asked to use a coupon I had for 15% off an REI item without knowing that because it was a collaboration, it could not be used for that item. The person checking me out had me show her the coupon on my phone and proceeded to tell me to read it back out loud to her and told me I was going to learn something today. It was condescending and honestly a little embarrassing. It made me feel bad. After she explained, I gave her no push back because I understood it could not be used and I was okay purchasing the item at full price. Then, after making me feel uncomfortable, she began to try to sell me the membership. I told her very politely I was not interested multiple times, and she was very insistent to the point where it just felt inappropriate. I checked out and left, and it was just a really bad experience. The name on my receipt is Cory. I’m not sure if that was the cashier’s name, but if so, I hope this feedback makes it back to her so maybe she can adjust her approach. No one else should have felt this bad over an interaction at a store.
