Unfortunately, our experience with Paul really put a damper on our day. We are Disney Annual Passholders and had spent over $100 on golf, along with additional money in the pro shop and beverages on the course.
After finishing our round, we went back to the first hole to settle a friendly bet. There was no ranger around, so we waited a few minutes before playing since no one was behind us. Paul came over afterward and told us we couldn’t continue. We were completely willing to follow the rules, but his tone and attitude were unnecessarily rude and confrontational.
We tried explaining that we had been allowed to do this previously, but rather than helping or checking with the pro shop, he dismissed us and insisted we pick up our balls. He then followed us over to make sure we left the hole.
Rules are understandable, but customer service matters too. Unfortunately, Paul’s behavior took away from what should have been a great Disney experience for our engagement weekend.

Extremely disappointing experience with Paul.
We are Disney Annual Passholders and spent over $100 to play the course, plus additional money in the pro shop. We were playing 18 holes with a friendly bet between us, and because it was my buddy's anniversary weekend after he proposed the day before, we wanted to finish the bet after being tied through 18.
When we got to the first hole again, there was no ranger around. We waited approximately five minutes and nobody was waiting to play, so we hit our tee shots. Paul came over afterward and told us we could not play the hole.
We explained that we had done this exact thing before at this course without any issue, so the inconsistency itself was confusing. Paul was incredibly rude and dismissive. His response was essentially, "I say no, so no," and he told us to pick up our balls.
We immediately drove over to retrieve them and called the pro shop ourselves to clarify. Even though there was nobody waiting behind us and we were not holding anyone up, Paul then drove over and personally escorted us off the hole.
Disney golf markets itself as "the happiest place on turf," but Paul's attitude that day didn't live up to that motto at all. There was a professional way to handle this, and Paul chose not to do so.
For a Disney golf course, and especially as Annual Passholders who spend money with Disney regularly, this was a very disappointing experience. The situation itself was minor; Paul's attitude and the way he handled it made it a much bigger issue than it needed to be.
I still recommend the course to players but this situation was handled very poorly by Paul and a gentleman named Evan.

We are Disney Annual Passholders and were very disappointed by our experience with Paul during our recent round of golf.
We spent over $100 to play and additional money in the pro shop. After finishing 18 holes, we went back to the first hole to settle a friendly bet. There was no ranger present, so we waited about five minutes. Nobody was waiting behind us, so we hit our tee shots.
Paul came over afterward and told us we couldn’t play the hole. We explained that we had done this before and had been allowed to, but instead of simply explaining the policy or contacting the pro shop, he was extremely rude and dismissive, essentially saying, “I say no, so no.”
We understand rules are rules, but his attitude and unnecessary confrontation were completely disappointing. As Annual Passholders, we expected much better customer service from Disney.

The Palm at Disney is a genuinely beautiful and well-maintained course, and I’d normally rate it much higher. My friends and I had a great round overall.
The issue was how we were treated near the end. My group was tied, and we wanted to play one extra hole to settle it. We checked first — no staff were around to ask, no groups were ahead of us, and no one was behind us, so we went ahead and played it. If someone had been there and told us no, we simply wouldn’t have done it.
When staff eventually showed up, we explained exactly what happened and why. Rather than understanding a pretty harmless situation, an employee named Paul treated us like we’d done something seriously wrong — making us pick up our balls immediately and speaking to us in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh and accusatory. There was no one around for us to have even asked permission from in the first place.
I’d still recommend the course itself for the layout and conditions, but the way this interaction with Paul was handled left a bad taste. A little grace and better communication would’ve gone a long way.
