  Went to the REI at the St Johns Towncenter around 5:00pm on a Monday (and last day of a sale), so it was busy. But Cami in the shoe department, and it was really busy! But she was able to float from customer to customer quickly and professionally. And she had a smile on her face the whole time and made it a great experience! And the guy checking me out was pleasant, professional and efficient! Another great experience at the Jacksonville REI 😃

  Yesterday I had a horrible day. I go to work at 4am and get out at 1pm. It is Summer and it's hot. I get out of work and someone stole my bike seat! Well, Paul in the bike shop was so nice to me, he made my day way better! He made a customer for life!

  Stumbled upon this store Saturday 5/30 around 11am with my elderly mother. Just walking around looking at everything inside. Absolutely great store with lots to offer; however the staff member I specifically encountered was less than pleasant…. Browsing around I was approach by a male in the shoe section and was asked “can I help you with anything” I responded we were just looking. My mother was looking at the “members only” resell shoe area and proceeded to ask “are you a member?” I told him we are not… He in a loud voice proceeded to say “this is for members only”. The interaction made me and my mother feel unwelcome immediately….. Retail sales for this particular sales associate obviously isn’t the correct career path…. This could have been a wonderful interaction where I’m NICELY informed of the details of everything entailing what being a “member” is and all the benefits/perks. Who knows…. I could’ve found myself becoming a member same day. Instead I no longer wanted to look at the brand new shoes (which I was shopping for multiple quality shoes to purchase) maybe even a whole wardrobe, tent, etc…. Unfortunately I no longer wanted to look at anything else inside this store…. The employee straight up delivered all that unprovoked, and very passive aggressively. 0/10 for whoever this employee was….
