  Dr. J and her wonderful husband is so inspiring and concerned about their students growth in golf and education and that is what I love the most about this golf class besides them just being genuine good people.

  This is my favorite course in Jacksonville—and honestly the only one that actually supports the PGA Youth on Course program the right way. A lot of courses like to have their name on the list, but then the rules are all over the place (looking at you Blue Sky… Tuesdays after 4, walking only, and you’ve gotta bring a paying adult? Come on). Brentwood keeps it simple. They honor their pricing, no games, and they’ve always been cool when my little guy comes out with me. We’re still pretty new to golf, and this place just feels right. Like one of the longtime locals told me, “Brentwood is my home course—it’s where I come to get right.” He wasn’t lying.   Is it the nicest course in the area? No. Is there a cart girl with refreshments? No. Is there some goose poop on the range? Sure. But $29 a person for 9 holes with a cart can’t be beat. And if your kiddo is a First Tee member their round is totally free. A solid 4 stars for this course.

  Course is actually impressive for the price. But the staff ruin it, a real bummer. Just take your money elsewhere.

  Quite happy with the course quite happy with the round and not bad value for money. Experienced quite poor customer service and a cold reception from the folks that help run this place. This was our first time here and honestly, we were talking about coming back with a large group or to set up yearly competitions here, or at least play here regularly. Rethinking that now. Our group of six booked two tee times on a Sunday, typically a slow day. On the front nine, we played our two separate teetimes in two groups of three however, on the back nine, we decided to combine and play three groups of two playing bestball, feeling that this would run just as quick if not faster. We were told by a Ranger wearing a grey Ping hat that this would be acceptable as long as we didn’t slow things down. At the end of the round, we were met by a different employee who rudely informed us that what we did was not allowed, and our names have been noted! 😆 Overall, a pretty cold reception from some quite unreasonable people. Maybe those guys were just having a bad day I don’t know. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyway, plenty of other golf courses in the area ☺️
