    Loved the staff, they were great. But guys please work on your route setting. You guys just opened so I’ll give it to you. But your route setting is so boring, it’s either a jug later or just slopers. No crimps like what. Please get better route setters.

    Always have a great time at this gym! The community and staff are amazing. Impressive teamwork around the board. The facility is always clean, and there’s a great variety of routes that keep things fun and challenging. If you’re looking for a gym with an amazing vibe and an even better community, this is the place to be! Shoutouts to Ryan for being a great lead instructor, Sawyer for being so welcoming and ALWAYS having a positive attitude, Rodrigo and Kim for being so friendly and funny. Annie and Luisa are some of the most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. They’re always helpful, approachable, and make every visit worthwhile. The front desk staff are always welcoming and remember everyone’s name. It makes the gym feel like a second home. The climbers and especially the staff want to see you succeed and it’s an incredibly positive environment that makes you want to keep coming back and keep improving.

    love this gym the routes are always amazing and any skill level can come and have a great time climbing and hanging out. i love the employees ESPECIALLY ryan luisa and sawyer because of their outstanding drive and initiative to make sure everyone who walks in feels welcome

    Took my granddaughter there today who is visiting(she is 7). So impressed with the staff, especially EMERSON. The place is huge and has so many rope options and boulders. Will definitely be back for myself.

    Not sure anyone cleans that place, and the bathroom is pretty bad. It also needs 2 sinks. I'll still go for a while, but if things don't improve, I will cancel my membership.

Do I need a Participation Agreement?

Yes, you need a Participation Agreement! Climbing is an inherently dangerous sport. We require a Participation Agreement from every visitor to the gym in order to stay in operation and for insurance purposes. All customers under the age of 18 MUST have a Participation Agreement signed by a parent or legal guardian. Grandparents, siblings, and teachers do not count.

I have never been climbing before, what are my options?

You have a number of options depending on the Central Rock Gym location you choose to visit. Bouldering Only Facility: You can climb on our bouldering walls. Bouldering does not require ropes, instead it focuses on shorter walls (10 – 14 feet tall) with significantly more padding on the ground. Partners are not required for this style of climbing. Check out our First Time Boulderer video for more information. A short bouldering orientation from a CRG staff member is required for this type of climbing. Rope Facility: You can take an intro belay class to learn all the requirements for using the facility. This class typically takes a little over 1 hour and can be registered online. Once completed you’ll have full access to the gym and have skills to allow you to belay anywhere in the country! Many of our rope gym locations have “Staff Belay” which is a program where our staff provide all the assistance to let you climb on ropes without taking classes. Space is limited to 4 climbers per group so pre-registration is recommended. We will pair multiple groups together until we get to the maximum size of 4 participants.
