  My wife and I stayed here the first time we visited the keys, and Big Pine Key RV Park is the only place we stay. They have everything you'll need, and the deer will come and hand out with you while setting by the water front. Planning my 50th Birthday weekend hear in April 2027. Already booked. Highly recommend.

  Warning to future campers: If you plan to sleep in a vehicle or camper conversion, confirm the policy in writing before paying and request clarity prior to check-in—so you are not turned away without a refund. We will not be returning. We provided our vehicle information and sleeping setup (a 4Runner camper conversion) prior to check-in, and again at check-in, and were permitted to stay the first night without any concerns being raised. Around 4 PM the following day—after we had paid for our reservation, were informed it was non-refundable, and spent additional money at their store—we were told we could no longer sleep in our vehicle. They offered no refund, alternative accommodations, or any effort to work with us.

  This is mainly a warning to anyone that camps in a roof top tent or a camper converted vehicle. We traveled far and were given no warning this would happen so I want to protect any future travelers. Very disappointing experience. We submitted our vehicle and sleeping setup (a 4Runner camper conversion) before check-in and again at check-in, and we were allowed to stay the first night without any issue. Around 4 PM the next day—after we had paid, been told the reservation was non refundable They told us we had to leave and could not sleep in our camper. They offered no refund, alternative, or any effort to work with us. We were also told there was a Marion County law prohibiting sleeping in a vehicle, but we couldn’t find anything supporting that claim for a gated, private campground (the restrictions we found appear to apply to public property).Rules should be clearly communicated before guests pay and check in. We will not be returning.

  Very disappointing experience. Before check-in, we submitted all of our vehicle information, including that we have a 4Runner camper conversion that we sleep in. We provided the same information again at check-in and were allowed to stay the first night without anyone mentioning an issue. The next day around 4 PM, after we had already paid for our stay, been told the reservation was non-refundable, and spent additional money at their store, we were suddenly told we could not sleep in our vehicle and had to leave unless we purchased a $50 tent from them. They offered no refund, alternative, or attempt to work with us. We were also told there was a law prohibiting sleeping in your vehicle in Marion County. After researching it ourselves, we could not find anything supporting that claim for a gated, private campground; the restrictions we found apply to public property. We called another nearby resort, and they welcomed us without hesitation. We were also told a general manager would call us back that day, but never received a call. The campground was practically empty, so it was especially disappointing that they chose to turn away one of their few guests rather than find a reasonable solution. We understand businesses have rules, but those rules need to be clearly communicated before guests pay and check in. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

  Great campground! Arrival was seamless as was assistance to be sure our boat was Launched safely with a great escort to our site. The staff are all amazingly friendly. Love having the fire pit lit at night and be able to watch out over the water. Their store has most anything you would need for camping, sun, protection, fishing, apparel, and souvenirs. Definitely a campground. We will look forward to coming back again and again.
