Great RV site ! Easy reservations Great Staff and Excellent Facilities. We were on the eastern most section with water/sewer/electrical and “Perfect Sunrise Views ”. Quiet place to relax and unwind. We used this site for a base camp for exploring all that the Florida Keys had to offer. Thanks to all the staff for their attention to details.

Nothing really bad to say about this place. It was great when I walked in, had a short check-in process and in just a few minutes I was on my way to my site.
It's well marked with each site having signage indicating each site. The rec-room has thing to do for you and the kids, with various free and paid arcade type games.
The sites can as some see it a little on top of each other, you will be close and very visible to all around.
The restrooms are very well maintained and definitely feel clean.
I did see the fire pit at night, they had Smores the night I went up. The pool is a roof top pool with plenty of chairs for the size of the pool. It does have a shaded area which is nice to have, along with a bar (not attended while I was at the pool.)
As for the lack of shade on the camp sites, shade is slim, so, bring a canopy AND heavy stakes. You WILL NEED HEAVY stakes as you are driving them into sand and the shorter one just don't go deep enough into the sand to hold. It is sometimes windy, be prepared to stake all things down for security.
It is an ocean resort, you are by sand and water, which brings biting bugs, BE PREPARED FOR BITING BUGS!!! Bring bug repellent with Deet and you will be better off. It's probably best to wear long sleeves and pants in the evening.
They have cable hook ups, I didn't use that. I did use the WIFI and it was OK for basic purposes, and free.

Divertido.
Repetiría????... sin dudarlo! Se los recomiendo!

Big pine Key RV resort is a place where if you stay for the fishing you probably will enjoy your stay. If you are just coming to enjoy the resort then this resort may not before you. The resort is all dirt and rocks and very little shade. The Rv’s are parked extremely close to one another with no barrier like bushes between them. When you walk out your rv door you are practically on top of your neighbors sewer hook-ups with that said you really have no place to just sit and relax outside your RV. Our RV was parked where it was backed up to a salt swamp which was natural and full of no-see-um bugs so we ended up with bites everywhere and they get in you as RV through your screen because they are very small The resort is very old and needs a lot of work.
We did enjoy going to Key west which was about an hour away and some really nice beaches which were close by however I would not stay there again.
