  I fell in love with this golf course, the moment I first played the 2nd hole. It's a beautiful par 5 dogleg left that offers great scenery all along the right side of the hole. The short par 4 4th hole was the one that sealed the deal for me. I was surprised at the relatively low initiation fee - as compared to other private courses in the area. Joining this club, was no-brainer.

  This was a very nice course. The course was very well maintained with a good pace of play and the staff was very friendly. The course was challenging but not so difficult that high handicappers like myself would be to frustrated to play. The carts have GPS and water bottles were provided. I would definitely play here again.

  I got a lesson from Coach Nick today and it was awesome! After being away from the game for a while I didn’t know where to start so I asked around and a friend recommended Coach Nick located at St. John’s golf and country club. Nick is by far the best golf coach I have ever worked with for more reasons than I can fit on one review. We started off the lesson with some basic fundamentals and ended with some advanced swing mechanics. He was extremely helpful and I will definitely be signing up for some more lessons soon. Thank you, Coach Nick!

  Definitely the best, if not top 3 public courses in Jacksonville. Top notch practice facilities, beautiful layout and greens, and they even provide water bottle coolers on 1st & 10th holes & tees in the cart. Definitely play here if you haven’t, you won’t be disappointed.

  We recently married at St. Johns Golf & Country Club. The venue is beautiful, and the food was excellent with generous portions. We originally worked with a coordinator who did a fantastic job during planning. Unfortunately, she was out of the office on our wedding day, and the last-minute transition to a different coordinator was poorly executed.Communication leading up to the day was minimal, with only two meetings months in advance. On the wedding day, our coordinator did not arrive until after 2:00 p.m., forcing me to stop getting ready to direct the cake vendor myself. At our rehearsal, we were instructed to pause before the aisle so the coordinator could fluff my dress. I did this during the actual ceremony, only to realize the coordinator had disappeared inside, leaving me standing there awkwardly. Multiple guests commented on the disorganization.Additionally, photo time on the course was cut short because golfers take priority—something couples should be warned about before booking. The bridal suite was also uncomfortably hot; the air conditioning could not keep up and the fans were too weak, leaving my bridal party sweating while getting ready.Given the high price point, we expected much better service and execution. While the venue itself is gorgeous and the initial planning went well, the wedding day coordination fell far below expectations.
