- JJJosephSep 11, 20263.0Great shop and genuinely nice staff. Store is well maintained, and everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. This was my first time using them. My mother-in-law bought my wife a bike off Amazon and for the life of me I could not get it put together - some of the parts in the box were wrong/swapped. We brought it to TREK to have them build/fix it. When I dropped it off I was told $100 to build it, and that's what my receipt said. They quoted 4-5 days which was fine. It ended up taking about two weeks because one part was missing and had to be special ordered - I get it, that's not their fault and I'm not upset about the wait. The bike mechanic did the best he could with what it was, and I do believe he did everything he could. The bike still isn't 100% complete because of what it is, but that's not on them. My only issue is the price. I was told $100, and the missing part was only a couple dollars. I expected to pay $100 plus a couple dollars, not almost $200. I was charged around $180 with no call or heads up. If the board behind the counter says $100 for a build, it should be $100 plus parts. If it's going to jump to a different bracket, just tell me upfront and explain why. Again - great shop, nice employees, solid work given the circumstances. I just wish the communication on price had been upfront. I was told one price at drop-off and that should be the price.
