  EDIT TO ADD: Shout-out to red-haired boss Chris K. for his endless patience with my ski questions. He was always around and checking in. Nice to have a skier to ask questions, as I found most of the workers for snowboarders. Thanks boss man! Dani A. was superbly helpful and patient! I resized my boot a few times because of my problematic feet and he greeted me warmly each time! Dani patiently checked in about different fit aspects on the boot and made me feel very welcome. As a novice skier, I plan to keep coming back to Northstar and it would be a joy to see him next season! An asset to the team for sure.

  Woefully understaffed and inefficient. Waste ALL of your morning waiting in a line to pick up your equipment. Took more than 1.5 hours to get equipment. They should be refunding a half day lift! I don't think it's the employees fault. Seems like they just don't staff enough to handle the loads - management prefers to make customers waste their mornings standing in line that adequately staff to get people in and out in a timely manner. Seriously. What is going on here. Boot, board, and helmet fitting is not a complicated affair.

  There's a super mean lady at the counter. If anyone get refused of a proper request you can try it another time when the lady is not there. Also there're some nice staff. The experience totally depends on who you met

  Love Northstar. Will NEVER use the ski rental shop in the village again. So disappointed. I've been going to Northstar since the 70s. We go every year. A couple of weeks ago, I rented skis from the village. Big mistake! I took a fall and tumbled THREE times down the hill. Each time with my skis getting caught on the hill as I fell...My skis did not release!! My knee twisted badly. My MRI is volumes! I have a torn ACL, torn meniscus (in two places) that may be unsavable, 4 small bone fractures and other strained ligaments in my knee. I feel lucky that this is all that happened given that my skis did not pop of as they should have! I called the ski rental place and left a message asking for a callback. I got nothing. I am posting this in hopes that this does not happen to anyone else. Make sure that they set your bindings correctly (there is a number called the DIN)!! Northstar, please train your people on this!

  Our group rented from here a few weeks ago and received excellent customer service from Myles throughout our rental period. Even after a slight misunderstanding, Myles went above and beyond to remedy the situation which was very much appreciated. 5 stars well deserved!
