  Downfall of the only bowling alley in Santa Cruz. So now the Seaside Company is charging $35 to PARK just to bowl at Boardwalk Bowl. The word is also that they may be closing down the Boardwalk Bowl parking lot and making everyone park in the big Boarwalk parking lots that also charge ballpark park prices. So after circling the block 3 times I managed to find parking on the street. We walk in and get our lane, (there are only 2 other lanes being used, this is a weekend) I try and order my wife and I a beer. They request my wife be present to order more then one beer. So I go get her, and they card her and not me. (We are 43 yrs old) They ask to scan her ID. She pulls up her digital ID that is scanable but they say that is not acceptable. (Facepalm) So now we are sharing the beer and feeling like the Seaside Co. is run by Darth Vader. Wishing more Family friendly things weren't getting pushed out and being harder to access. Are you planning on closing the bowling alley?? Is that the ultimate goal? I'd be happy to open a bowling alley in Santa Cruz if you wanna doze this place.

  I would love to give it zero stars. It’s now $35 to park in the lot while you bowl. The price gouging of the community is off the charts. Just skip it.

  Way too worried about "getting out on time". We came in with 4 people at 10:45pm and had plenty of time for two games as we usually keep a good pace. They refused to let us pay for two games even though we said it's ok if we don't get to finish as long as we can play until close. They said just come back and add a game... When we tried to do that with 45 minutes left to close they said oh we will only charge you for 3 people because you probably won't get to finish. We again said we don't care as long as we get to play until close. We then got cut off 15 minutes before closing because we "only paid for 3 people" and they refused to let us finish our game or pay for the last 15 minutes. We then watched the last two groups bowl all the way until closing which was super frustrating.
